Azure file share for MSIX packages

Looking to get some clarity regarding providing access to Azure file shares which host MSIX packages. In my setup, I am NOT using on-prem Active Directory nor Azure Active Directory services. I've managed to setup Azure Virtual Desktop with just Azure AD and Azure AD joined session hosts, but I'm having some difficulty in setting up the right config to access MSIX packages in a file share.

First thing, is this arrangement supported? i.e. not using AD DS nor AAD DS for authentication.
and secondly, is there a way to configure access for the session hosts to the Azure file share?

Also thirdly, if this is not a supported config can a share be established on a regular Azure VM and packages be deployed from there?

    @Barry Jordan

    Adding few more details to what @Andreas Baumgarten mentioned in the previous response.

    MSIX packages will not load from an Azure file share as it requires the computer account to authenticate to the file share, for now the preview of Azure AD hosts connecting to Azure File Shares only supports User accounts.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi @Barry Jordan ,

    Using Azure File Share with Azure AD joined VMs is still in public preview:

    How to configure this is described here:
