You can open a PFILE file with Microsoft Azure Information Protection Viewer (Windows) or Microsoft RMS Sharing (Mac). In both apps, you will most likely be prompted to enter an authorized username and password, or other authorized credentials, to open the file.
ll my files have been encrypted by Azure Information Protection (AIP).

All my files including photos appear to have been encrypted using Azure Information Protection (AIP). All the .jpg picture files now have a .jpg.PFILE File Extension. Now non of my other Windows PCs or mobile devices are able to read them. How do I disable it so I can retrieve my files?

2022-01-04T12:15:41.613+00:00 Thanks HermantSharma for your answer. But I want to remove AIP entirely so I can transfer my half million photos and store/view them on other devices. I did not even know what AIP is until today and I'm not sure why MS has randomly imposed this on me. I did not select it.
