Dear all,

I am not sure how to do it and I might need your support.

I want to have an User account who can use a desktop but can not do any modification to it.

For instance,

the user can open files, folders, shortcuts, programs and everything, but can not delete or move any shortcut on the desktop, alongside any folder or subfolder. They can just, Read & View.

Thank you,
Horatiu.

    2) Navigate to the following path:

    User Configuration> Administrative Tools> Control Panel> Customization

    3) Select Personalization and, in the right pane of the window, double-click the “Prevent desktop icons from changing” policy.

    4) To enable desktop icon change: Not configured or disabled.

To disable changing desktop icons: Enabled

    5) Click Apply followed by OK and After you finish, restart your PC to save the changes.
