Hi,
Please help me with this issue: on a Sharepoint communication modern site, I want to see the statistics. I go to Site use, I see 400 unique users in the last 7 days. I download the infos for Site use in the last 90 days, I get the SiteanalyticData, I see the statistics day by day. I make a sum of the statistics for the last 7 days and I get 489 unique users. Why it is not the same amount for the last 7 days? I have the same problem for the last 30 days. Can anyone clarify me, please?

According to my understanding, the number of unique viewers in the past 7 or 30 days is not the simple sum of unique viewers per day.

For example, user A has visited site A every day in the past 7 days, and the number of unique visitors per day is 1, and the total is 7, however the number of unique visitors in the past 7 days is still displayed as 1, because in the past 7 days, the same user visited the site.

So I suggest you look at the statistics of SharePoint, there is no need to manually summarize:

Yes, quote from Microsoft:

Unique viewers shows the total number of individual visitors to the site, regardless of how often they've visited.

Hello and thank you for your answer, it helps me a lot.
I have one more question: on a Sharepoint modern site, I have an welcome page on which the unique viewers for the last 30 days are in a number of 20. I also have a list with hundred terms on the site. The traffic for the whole site, in the last 30 days: there are 222 unique viewers.
I dont understand this difference between the traffic on the first page of the site and the traffic on the whole site. I thought viewers were entering in the list through the first page of the site?
Are the researches in the list counted separately?
Can I see some stats for the list?
Can I see some stats for each term in the list, which have been searched by the users?

Per my understanding, if they access contents in this site using sharing link directly, there is no need to access the welcome page first.

Also, what do you mean by "list terms"? Are you using the managed metadata column from the list? If possible, please provide details such as screenshots.

Normally, we can search the audit log about SharePoint list activities in Microsoft 365 compliance center.

By list term/list item, I mean I have a list with more columns and in this columns I have different items, in my case there are different words.
If someone searches a word in the Search bar above the page and finds the word in my list, can it be contorized somewhere? Can i see a statistics of how many people have searched that word in my list?

Also, I would like to know what it means, in statistics, a traffic of 220 unique users pe month, if I only have a Homepage and a list (on that site) and on the Homepage the traffic is 20 unique users per month. Where does the rest of 200 uniques users come from?

global site traffic: 220 unique users per month -
first page traffic: 20 unique users per month
= ???
the rest of traffic - where does it come from? from my list? how? by researches made on that list? is the answer to a research considered like a different page and it is counted individually?

We cannot view statistics for list items search result, currently, we can check the search usage report like top queries on my site per day, for detailed information, refer to: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/view-search-usage-reports-modern-sites.

Global site traffic includes all unique viewers of site content such as pages, documents, and news, however single-page traffic includes only unique viewers of that page.

Also, this is run in the background by Microsoft and we can't see it.
