How can I fix this error while install visual studio

I'm installing Visual Studio 2022 but the installation keeps stuck like this

It looks like you are installing or modifying another program right now. Please wait until all other operations are finished and try again.
You could go to your task manager and kill all the installer process, then reboot your computer and restart your Visual Studio Installer to continue the installation.

I ran into the same problem. I tried typing the URL into my browser which revealed that my company has blocked access to that site. This was not done by their firewall because I'm not on their VPN, but they have blocked my computer from accessing the site in any way, shape, or form.

I restarted the computer and continued, the same

well, apart from downloading the update from microsoft, the installer tries to fetch the git.exe from https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/releases/ which fails on most corporate networx.

also tried to download git.exe from https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/releases/ directly, the visual installer failed to detect the already installed version.. should be fixed
