I'd like to ensure, that a screensaver with password protection is enabled, because the UWP App i am developing contains sensitive Information and our legal department demands a protection after an idle time.
Is there an UWP API to achieve that?

I have to say, uwp has no such permission to lock current os screen.

I think you got me wrong: I do not want to lock the screen from the app, I just want to check, if the OS is setup to automatically lock the screen after some idle time.

Well. for checking the idle time, you could Launch the Windows Settings for check if has set timeout for locking screen,

I still don't get it. This looks like a way to send the user to the according settings page.
What i want to achieve is:

App is started or gets focus

App checks the System settings for screen locking without any interaction with the user (this is the point, where I got stuck)

If no screen locking is set up, the App asks the user to set up screen locking (for example as you described by sending the user to the according settings page) and denies access to the app.

Yep, I know your point, but unfortunately, there is no such api could get this idle except Launch the Windows Settings page. if you want this feature, please ask feature request with windows feed back hub app.

Sure, that is a way to approach, but it may not publish to store. it's suit for sideload way.
