CosmosDB MongoDB API Field level encryption

Hi there,

The current version of the CosmosDB API for MongoDB is v4.0. I was trying to encrypt fields and to stay true to all the notes / links and tutorials it all points to v4.2.

So as the DB that Im using is v4.0 - what can I do to perform a field level encryption? Is there any workaround as such? I have landed here from https://twitter.com/AzureSupport/status/1479853107177824256

It looks like field level encryption is supported from version 4.2. However, I am checking internally with the products team for any alternatives and get back to you on the same.

As per internal confirmation by the products team, Field Level Encryption should already work on 4.0. So, I’d encourage you to please test it and provide feedback if any.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Not it does not work yet with 4.0. Only way to use field level encryption is host MongoDB Atlas in azure or any other cloud provider

Now cosmso db support mongo db api 4.2 so this feature is supported by default.
