(Loopback)Capture audio: Are APO effects captured too?

I would like to capture 'clean' audio stream (played by some common playback software (using WASAPI Shared Mode)) to another software in a system which has many APO effects added for endpoint device chosen for playback.

Can this be done or are the APO effects within the capture?

How this is done without APO effects in capture?

Do you mean WASAPI records the loopback audio with excluding specified audio stream? Could you please give more information or show a minimal, reproducible sample without private information?

I don't have sample code available but, if you look the architecture of WIndows audio and Audio Processing Object Architecture , can you say at which point the capturing happens (is it before or after APO layer)? In case of Core Audio API, stream capturing is done in endpoint buffer ... where it is located in architecture (before or after the APO layer)?

There is this new structure for "application loopback audio capture" which allows capturing from specified process but the sample requires Windows 10 build 20348 or later which I don't have (and the final implementation should work on all APO compatible Windows versions starting from Vista).
