Hi,@marc pichot
According to your problem description, I would like to know your current Mac version number and Office version number. Whether one document cannot select text or all documents cannot select text.
How to check your Mac's version number: Choose "About This Mac" from the Apple menu in the corner of the screen. You should see the macOS name (such as macOS Monterey or macOS Big Sur) followed by the version number.
How to check the version number of Office: Open any Office application (such as Word) and create a new document. For example, go to Word and select About Word. In the dialog that opens, you can see the version number.
There are now three ways to try to solve this problem.
1.Click preferences-edit in word to remove the check from Allow text to be dragged and dropped in the options, and then try again.
2.Open Finder, click go-document-search for office in the upper right corner, move the normal.dotm file found to the desktop, restart word and try to see if it is resolved
3.Create a new Mac account, open word in the new Mac account, and see if you can select text.
If you have tried the methods I mentioned above and still have questions, you can reply me here and I will help you solve them.
Best regards,
Ceasar Chen
