Hi Team ,

There is a requirement from customer that , if the user session already exist or active in AVD , the same user should not allow to login from different PC and it should pop up that the user session is already active.

Current scenario is that , when the same user login 2nd time by mistaken the existing session kicked off automatically and its expected behavior to resume the same session back, however the customer requirement to share the same login for different users to work on the shifts and the existing session should not be kick off if that is already active or left idle / disconnected state.

Is it possible to prompt pop up saying that the user session is already in use or active in AVD platform?

Please advise.163784-avd-session-disconnect.jpg

    Thanks for sharing the details.

I would recommend connecting with your Microsoft (MS) Account team to find another license option. e.g. E5 is not needed to use AVD.
A Windows E3 or even a VDA per user might be a more economical option compared to E5 (assuming that you are not using any other E5 features).
You can take a look here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/overview#requirements

I checked with the Product team, currently they don't have any plans to change this behavior, but you can always submit this as a feature idea here:
Azure Virtual Desktop Feedback - Microsoft Tech Community
Or you can share it with your MS account team and they can submit this internally as a feature request.

    Hope this helps.
