Cloud Management Gateway - User Based Deployments

Quick question for understanding. When I distribute an application to my distribution point and the cloud management gateway, the associated deployment does not seem to appear in Software Center when I am only connected to the Cloud Management Gateway. Is there something special I need to set up to get user based deployments to work with the CMG?

The user must have a hybrid AAD identity for user targeting to work on Internet based clients. See https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/clients/manage/cmg/plan-client-authentication#azure-ad for some additional detail on this.
