I have a copy of Office 2019. I'm taking a college class and am supposed to add Notes and Comments to an Excel 2019 spreadsheet.

I can see how to add comments either by Right Clicking in the Cell I want to add the comment in, or by going to the Review Ribbon tab and New Comment.

In all the examples I'm seeing from School, there is also a New Note on the Review Ribbon in Excel.

I can see Notes in Office 365 when I use the online version but my Standalone version of Office 2019 doesn't give me a Note Option.

I have run all updates for Office 2019, but I can't find anywhere to do a new Note or a Threaded Comment.

Ideas?

    Hi,@Norman Herrington

Do you want to ask why there is no note function in Office 2019?

Because Office2019 only has the comment function.

And the comment in Office365 is a brand new feature.

the note function in Office365 replaces the comment function in Office2019.

There is no note function in Office 2019.

For details, you can refer to this link:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/the-difference-between-threaded-comments-and-notes-75a51eec-4092-42ab-abf8-7669077b7be3
