OneDrive and Synology syncronisation issues

I have a Synology that's synchronizes a folder (approx. 1TB) with OneDrive (through Synologys Cloud Sync)
Recently I spend hours to clean the folder on the Synology from files that aren't needed any more, double files, etc...
I thought OneDrive will delete those files too but instead it redownloaded the files and put them back?!?
The next day, all the deleted files were back. I could see this in the log files as well.
Although it's mainly as backup, OneDrive was set in both directions and suspended during the day but you should think OneDrive is smart enough to see which changes are newer.
I tried to use one direction (upload) an allowed the deletion of files but this doesn't work well. The new or replaced files are uploaded like expected but deleted files aren't deleted in OneDrive. They aren't redownloaded though.
I have other folders on the Synology that are synchronized by GoogleDrive (through Cloud Sync as well) with the same settings and this works fine.

Somebody experiences the same issues?

    Hi @Amathanio

As I do not have the Synology in my test environment, I can not do tests for you.

Via searching online, please check whether "Don't remove files in the destination folder when they are removed in the source folder" is ticked.
(Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.)

Besides, the settings for Cloud Sync is mainly focused on Synology, to help you better, I would suggest you contact Synology support to troubleshooting this issue.

    Thanks for your understanding.
