You cannot use a 2022 product key to activate Server 2019. I'd try asking the seller to provide you a downgrade product key.

So we have bought a server and purchased a windows server license which came to be a windows server 2022 license, is it possible to use the same license on windows server 2019 which will be a downgrade. If its possible how do i go about it, do i just install the iso of windows server 2019 and apply the 2022 license or would there be a procedure for the downgrade.
