Hi All ,

I've 2 Office Online Server that is connected to SharePoint 2019. I wanted to patch Office Online Servers, what are the steps and precaution needs to take care before this activity.

I gone through the below article however its not much clear, Any other article we have for Office Online multi server patching.

Another question is my office online server is on base version, for ex if I am installing "Office Online Server: December 14, 2021 (KB5002097)" will it cover all previous security update or do I need to install all ?

Hi @Emily Du-MSFT ,

So if I am understanding correctly to patch office online server I have to reconfigure entire farm ?

Can we download trial office online server to test complete cycle ? If yes any link to download would be helpful. As I checked on Microsoft Learn its available with license only?

1.Yes, you should reconfigure the entire OOS farm. Here're steps.
(1)Remove the first OOS server by using Remove-OfficeWebAppsMachine PowerShell.
(2)Install the OOS update on first server and do a restart.
(3)Create an updated OOS farm by using New-OfficeWebAppsFarm -InternalURL "https://oos.contoso.com" -EditingEnabled PowerShell.
(4)Remove the second OOS server by using Remove-OfficeWebAppsMachine PowerShell.
(5)Install the OOS update on second server and do a restart.
(6)Add two OOS servers to the updated OOS farm by using New-OfficeWebAppsMachine -MachineToJoin "server1.contoso.com" PowerShell.

2.The OOS is available with license only.
