resolving the domain name to the dns of dynamic ip assigned to application gateway

Hi Team,

I want to deploy the application gateway of standard sku which only allows the assignment of the dynamic public ip. I have create a dynamic IP address and has assigned a dns to it. So can I create a dns record of a domain name(website deployed on backend) to the dns of the dynamic IP address and even the ip changes the website could be reached ??

Example
website : test.example.com
Ip : 20.78.X.1 DNS: test-lP.japanwest.cloudapp.azure.com

Record: test.example.com CNAME test-lP.japanwest.cloudapp.azure.com

So even the ip changes but website could be reached using above record??

Hi Somiya-2815,
I verified Application Gateway based on your question and I could access my test website by using custom domain name.

• Application Gateway's set
  I select Standard Level(Basic SKU) and set dynamic public IP address.
• DNS management Service's set
  I set <hostname>.xxxx.com CNAME xxxxx.japaneast.cloudapp.azure.com.
• Other Information
  I post some image files as an example(*).

• Website's number "#x" was random because of web configuration.
