Can administrators access Teams files?

In our organization we would like to have a private Teams area with f.ex. salary information. How can we make sure that for instance administrators will not be able to see these files? As far as I understand, an administrator is able to grant himself access to any teams and then view the files. The team owner will of course be notified.
But - is there any way a Team owner can be 100% sure that ONLY members can see the files?

Is it f.ex possible for me as the IT manager to grant limited Teams/sharepoint administrator privileges to IT staff?

    Hi @Are Barstad ,

    As per my knowledge, as long as you don't add team owners as members to the private channel, Teams/SharePoint administrator will absolutely have no access to those files. Also, Teams/SharePoint administrator is not able to grant himself access to private channel and files stored in private channel.For more information, take a reference to this article: Private channels in Microsoft Teams.
