We have set-up three Hyper-V hosts (2 server 2019 standard + one 2019 Hyper V server). They are all domain joined and logged in as Domain\Administrator. On the hyperv host that hosts DC and File server, we also want to use it to manage the other two hosts (2019 standard+ Hyper V 2019) via Hyper-V manager. We are getting the following error message. Remote management are all enabled. 165225-hyper3-1.png

It turned out to be the Auto DoS feature on HPE officeconnect switch 1820.

Prevent TCP Blat Attack : When enabled, the switch drops packets that have a TCP source port equal to the TCP destination port.
Prevent UDP Blat Attack: When enabled, the switch drops packets that have a UDP source port equal to the UDP destination port.

It also stopped NTP client connection to NTP servers due to the drop of UPD packets.

Disabled both, and everything works fine.

    Thank you.

We had read the article already. It didn't provide any clue towards the issue we have.

Sounds like some blocking going on. You could test with the firewalls off.

Possible stupid question: Is RDC enabled on these computers? I seem to remember having this kind of a problem years ago and enabling RDC fixed it.
