So since a recent update, my left mouse button intermittently and frequently acts strange. It will fail to left click for as long as a couple minutes, but still operate otherwise, and will also activate when I do not want it to, dragging random things around the screen. Sometimes, pressing esc helps, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes hitting Ctrl Alt delete helps, sometimes it doesn't. I've tried three different mice, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, different USB ports, and disconnecting other devices, to no avail. It's really, really annoying.

All in all it seems a hardware communication issue. Have you tried the mouse in other device, or other mouse in the same computer? Does it fail the same? Do you have other HID devices that can use cursors (such as touchpad or haptic screen) as the malfunction could be in those instead of the mouse?

So, my first mouse issue (not mentioned) was caused by Razer synapse. This one, I discovered, was also not caused by any particular mouse, but the red dragon mouse software I had installed. The problem persisted no matter which mouse I used until I uninstalled that software.
So what's up with my computer and this mouse software? Never used to be an issue I'm going to try one more brand to see if they have capable software engineers?
