Could you help me with how to upgrade the SCSM data warehouse to a licensed edition (activate it)?

Hi @Heba Wagih ,

depending on the SCSM version the activation can be done this way: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/scsm/sm-license?view=sc-sm-2019
This is for SCSM 1801 and later.

As far as I know there are two options for older SCSM versions to activate a evaluation version:

Re-install the SCSM

Open a support request with Microsoft

It is SCSM2019 and the management server is activated but the SCSM data warehouse isn't.
is this command applicable for the SCSM data warehouse server activation ?
Set-SCSMLicense -ManagementServer <ManagementServer> -ProductId <Product Key>

Hi @Heba Wagih ,

you can give it a try with activating the SCSM DWH server via Set-SCSMLicense -ManagementServer. I haven't tried it myself so far.

If it is not working you still have the option to re-install the SCSM DWH.

I had tried this command Set-SCSMLicense -"ManagementServer <ManagementServer> -ProductId <Product Key>"
and the event ID 3334 has been disappeared after that which is saying that the SCSM evaluation copy has been expired. But there are two different event IDs that have been appeared 33502 & 26319, please advise what should I do?

Hi @Heba Wagih ,

if the activation of the SCSM DWH is not possible re-installing the SCSM DWH is an option. During the new installation of the SCSM DWH it's possible to provide the license key.

I tried to install the SCSM DWH using the same DB but the installation fails each time I tried that.
this is the error message
1- An error occurred while executing a custom action:_AssignSdkAccountAsSsrsPublisher
This upgrade attempt has failed before permanent modifications were made. Upgrade has successfully rolled back to the original state of the system. Once the correction are made, you can retry upgrade for this role.

2- An error occurred while executing a custom action:_CreateMOMRegKey
This upgrade attempt has failed before permanent modifications were made. Upgrade has successfully rolled back to the original state of the system. Once the correction are made, you can retry upgrade for this role.

related to 2): Have you deleted the old entries in registry after deinstallation and before new installation?
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\System Center

I removed the SSRS and install it again with a new database.
related to 2:
no, I didn't remove any registry.
