Students Using Meet in Team Channels

Question

I am using channels for small groups with my students. When they get into their assigned channels, all they can do is chat. If I want them to meet, I have to start it for each group. Is there a way to allow them to start the meeting without me?

You can configure meeting policies to give students the permission to schedule meeting.

The most up-to-date guidance for students and educators is at Teams Policies and Policy Packages for Education. You could turn on “Allow channel meeting schedule” in the meeting policy for students.
