Microsoft CAL licensing

We are developing a tool that will run a NET core service with Kestrel and Signalr in one self programmed service. The service will be querying the Postgres Database and save files from users.

According to all articles I have read, I need a CAL license if the client accesses any part of the OS system like Domain, Printer, DNS, IIS, SQL etc.

MY server only hosts the service for API calls and a POSTGRES DB, which are all NOT part of the OS

I am on the verge now to convert everything to LINUX like everybody else,

Before I do that, I please need a definite confirmation from MS, that when I purchase the server with RDP, and host my OWN service with postgres, as the only items which the users will access

THAT I DO NOT NEED A CAL FOR EVERY USERS QUERYING THE POSTGRES AND SAVING FILES PURELY ONLY THROUGH MY SERVICE

thanx

These are technical forums. Legal licensing questions are better directed towards your reseller's trained licensing specialist or ask microsoft directly. Any anonymous forums replies are opinions at best and in no way legally binding.
