Hi,

through User Profile Service Application I can sync users from an external trusted domain (no transitive). How can I add this information on people picker field?
On the ULS logs I get this error if I tried to search a user from this external domain:

Error in resolving user. User: 'XXX', ResolverInformation: 'SPActiveDirectoryPrincipalResolver, DomainName: 'external domain', DomainIsForest: 'False', DomainLoginName: '', CustomSearchQuery: '', CustomSearchFilter: '', Timeout: '00:00:30', IncludeDistributionList ...

Thanks for help me!
Regards
Faye

    Hi anonymous user,

If you want People Picker to return query results from more than one forest or domain, you must configure People Picker to use an encrypted account and password even if you have a one- or two-way trust between the forests or domains. For more information about trusts, see Managing Trusts.

To configure People Picker for a one-way trust, see Configure People Picker in SharePoint Server.
