Azure/Akamai Traffic Windows 11

Do Azure data blobs get stored on individuals private Windows 10/11 machines? Does Microsoft/Akamai mitigate bandwidth and storage cost by using private networks to store data and route traffic? I see massive Akamai/Azure TCP traffic constantly on Windows 10/11 machines. Along with unexplained heavy CPU load.

Are you using Azure backup or Azure storage for storing your data in Azure?

Try check the IP they are communicating with and use IP Lookup and see if they are from Microsoft.
In the initial installation , Windows will perform some checking like for Windows Update and send diagnose data (if you permit them) but it is hard to say what traffic are they and you need to investigate it.
