I have installed a clean version of windows 7 32-bit on my Dell E6420 and WIFI is not working. I have spent days trying to find the right drivers and Dell is No Help. All of the drivers missing are in the picture attached of Device Manager. I found an article on here where another had the same problem (see link below). I can't tell what brand the wifi card is either...

I am tired of fighting with this...The similar article is related to installing a driver from Dell, but when the executable is run, I get the same error he did. The KB link is No Longer on MS's Website...

"kernel32.dll is system dll for Windows. Find it on another healthy computer and copy it to your system32 or syswow64 folder(for 64 bit). Don't forget to register it and restart your computer.

Install KB2533623

Microsoft doesn't have a driver for it for Windows 7 it appears...So, my question is does Dell???

Seems to go in circles here. Microsoft does not do driver development. The manufacturer's do this and if the certification is done in time, then they're included within the windows installation media. Should be one of the Dell listed drivers. Either case it looks like you'll need to open a support case with dell or try asking for help in their hardware forums.

Make sure to install the chipset. The chipset allows the operating system to find and use devices integrated into the mother board.

Regardless you'll need the chipset as the very first step.

You told us you updated firmware. The chipset is a different operation. The drivers will not find the integrated hardware without no matter what you do.
