Remote Desktop for mac Client doesn't connect without error. "Configuring Remote PC" is last status

So 2 days ago and everyday for weeks before I was connecting just fine with RDC for mac to a windows 10 machine at work.
Now it stopped working without any changes to the system.
VPN is connected with IPSEC/IKEv2. Remote Network is reachable, remote PC is pingable.
When I want to connect it goes through the normal stages, hangs a bit on "Configuring Remote PC" then the connection window closes and no RDC window opens. No errors are displayed.
Loading goes through the following steps. "Initialising" "Configuring Remote PC" "Securing Connection" then again "Configuring Remote PC" then it just disappears.

I have tried the following roughly in that order

  • Deactivated proxy setting and hardware acceleration and tried all combinations of those two on/off
  • Several Restarts
  • Update RDC to latest version
  • Installed all Update on Big Sur
  • Selected other resolutions
  • Tried all different Display modes
  • Created a new Connection setup to reenter credentials
  • Reinstall RDC
  • Updated to Monterrey
  • Deleted ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.rdc.macos/Data/Library/Application Support/Microsoft Remote Desktop
  • Reinstalled again
  • Deleted ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.rdc.macos and another folder with .qlx

No changes. My machine is a 2015 Macbook Pro. Two days ago it was BigSur now it is Monterrey,
I can't access the Remote machine. I would have to deploy coworkers, but again, everything was fine

    Hi

Did you tried to have a coworker restart your remote machine ? It might just be in a stale status or updating. The coworker would be able to see the screen too, to make sure of the state.
