Windows 10 to Windows 11

Question

Hi,

Since I have Windows 11 eligible Systems, When I Windows Update Windows 10 PC, there is message to upgrade to Windows 11. I have all the Systems licensed to Windows 10.

Kindly advise as to if I upgrade to Windows 11 will I be licensed to use Windows 11.

Yes, when you see the option to upgrade to the Windows 11, it means your device is ready and also your license would be valid after the upgrade. The process is like upgrading Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and if you already experience it, during the free upgrade time you could just upgrade your device and it would have been activated and once activation was succeed, you could have reinstalled the Windows 10 later on.
You will have the same experience for upgrade from the Windows 10 to Windows 11 (considering your hardware is compatible), it will upgrade and when you connected to the internet activation will succeed and then you may reinstall Windows 11 any time you want without entering any product key.

So yes, your Windows 11 will be licensed after upgrade, as upgrade process does not affects activation status.
