Hi,

I have a PC in domain and suddenly its D Drive - SSD prompted as Drive is Inaccessible. So I tried Diskpart and all other stuff but could not able to resolve. At last I tried to remove the PC from Domain and join again, then also could not resolve.
At Last I had to format the PC and D Drive is accessible. The thing is the I have configured many GPO policy out of which I have disabled - Computer Config- USB Disabled , now the drive is remaining accessible.

There is another PC which is having same issue so if I get an idea that the GPO is creating issue then I could resolve the issue.

In domain there are # of PC's with USB policy enabled, but only 2 PC's are creating issue. Kindly advise

Regards,

Manish

    Hi @Manish Chawda

Usually, when your external hard drive shows the "Drive is not accessible. Access is denied" error message, it is because you don't have the right privilege settings in Windows. So, to fix the issue, you have to take ownership of the drive. Here's how to do it:

Right-click on the inaccessible hard drive, select Properties. Go to the Security tab, hit Advanced, then click the Edit button. On the Owner tab, modify the ownership of the specified account.

Here is a thread as well that discusses the same issue and you can try out some troubleshooting steps from this and see if that helps you to sort the Issue.
