Hello, I'm sorry for any bad grammar in advance as English is not my mother tounge,

We have a Exchange 2019 on Premise,

now when someone wants to internaly forward an email that came from extern, the Email Adress of the original sender does not appear in the forwarded Mail.

e.g.

While it should look like this:

From: "Person external" <@external.com>
To: <
@internal.com>
Subject: XYZ

It does look like this in the forwarded Mail:

From: "Person external"
To: <******@internal.com>
Subject: XYZ

Now the Problem is that now the receiver of the forwarded mail can't write back to the external person as they can't see the mail adress

Are there any options I'm missing,
Or does this only appears when the forwarder of the mail has the external person in their contacts?

I hope you can understand my question, if not just ask for information you need.

    Hi @Fabian Freund ,

“Or does this only appears when the forwarder of the mail has the external person in their contacts?”

Try forwarding the emails from the external mailbox’s and check if have the same issue.

If the email will display the sender email address, the issue might occur by the contact.

Then delete the contact and forward the email again.

    Work around:
Outlook > File > Options > Mail > Replies and Forwards > When forwarding a message: Default is "Include original message text". Change it to "Attach original message".
