Teams guest access vs external access

Hi All

Attached is a visual of my O365 Tenant Teams policies

1. Teams Corp account cannot find my gmail Teams account in the to: field, "We can't set up the conversation because your organizations are not set up to talk to each other".
2. Teams Corp account can find another external Teams business account in the to field. I verified is not an azure guest account.

I can cannot understand why my Corp account can find another external Teams business account in Teams chat. Can you please help me understand why this would work?

Teams Corp account cannot find my gmail Teams account in the to: field, "We can't set up the conversation because your organizations are not set up to talk to each other".

As the error message said above, your organization is not allowed your gmail Teams account's domain to communicate with you. So Teams Corp account cannot find your gmail Teams account.

I can cannot understand why my Corp account can find another external Teams business account in Teams chat. Can you please help me understand why this would work.

It maybe your Corp account is only blocked the specific domain to communicate with each other in your organization. To complete the external user communication, you should make sure their domains have been trusted each other. To check these setting, you could go to Teams admin center and see this options in your admin center.
