User Information list not showing Title and Department values for users.

Hello,
In SharePoint 2013 User Profile Synchronization is working fine and users with all data including Title and Department is synced with UPSA.
When search for the few users in "User Information List" it just shows the user name , no department or title in UIL.
When edit the user information in User Profile Service application and save it with out making any changes , UIL displays Title and department as expected for that user only. I ran the SP to Site Full Synchronization job every time and also "stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 0" shows todays data for that database sites collection is residing in.

Any idea why UIL is not displaying information even its updated in the UPSA as per AD and command also shows todays date ?

Hi @Umr ,

Per my test, I can reproduce this behavior in my end. Sync was successful.

Use this command to update UIL manually and then the property is correct:

Set-SPUser -Identity $user -SyncFromAD

In DC:

Hi Lu ,

thanks for the reply. I tested this command and its same as saving the profile back in UPA for single user. I am trying to understand why is it showing this behavior. I have several users and don't want to get in to a situation where have to run Set-SPUser all the time for all users who are missing the information.

Hi @Umr ,

There are two timer jobs that push data from the UPSA to the UIL. User Profile Service Application - User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization and User Profile Service Application - User Profile to SharePoint Quick Synchronization are responsible for this. That said, sometimes the sync stops working correctly. In that case, you may want to try running stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 0 which will reset the sync status and when one of those timer jobs runs, will update the UIL correctly.

Thanks Sado for the sharing the link. I have tried all the option on the link as well as the one mentioned below which is same as deleteoldSYnc but no luck yet.

I also tried to run " Set-SPUser -Identity $user -SyncFromAD -Web $url" but the only time it works is when i edit the user and just simply save it. any PS that will just go though the each user and just save profile with out making any change ?
So far only "Save and Close" button make it work but i have to do it for each user manually.

I am trying to do some thing like get the user from user profile and just save it back with out making any changes to replicate the process I am doing manually to resolve this issue. I came up with the script but for some reason its not doing what i was expecting. Any help with how can i get the user profile using PS and just save it back so i can reiterate it through the user only missing information. If i do this manually and hit save button UIL automagically updates.
