Missing assignment on sharepoint

I have been using share point in order to set alerts on the assignments I have created on Teams. All the assignments I have posted on teams are on share point and I had no trouble setting an alert for all assignments except for one. One assignment cannot be found on share point even though it’s on teams. I went to the appropriate teams page then site contents then class files and assignments. All assignments are found there but one. If I search in each student’s work submitted files, I can see the assignment there individually. Why can’t I find this assignment?

    Hi @Poitras, Renee (ASD-N) ,

    Please make sure you didn't delete this assignment in SharePoint.

    SharePoint Settings > Site information > View all site settings > Site Collection Administration > Recycle bin

    You could find deleted items in Recycle bin.
