Tracking multiple vendors

I have the task to create in excel a way to track multiple vendors in multiple assignment site on a daily basis, which will be over 20 each. This spreadsheet will need to track the cost of the individual assignment as well. Reports will need to reflect dates assigned, dates completed, projected total cost and actual total cost.

Is there a way to create and manage in excel other than starting with the basic spreadsheet and creating it all from scratch, adding formulas in, as needed?
