Microsoft Excel Certification

I am thinking about getting Microsoft Certification in Excel. I consider as a priority certificate(s) that doesn't expire, but I am confused by contradictive information provided.

Here is the certificate I am planning to get:
Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate (Excel and Excel 2019)
Required exams: MO-200

Here's expiry policy:,renew%20the%20certification%20before%20the%20certification%20expiration%20date.

It says that
Microsoft role-based (associate and expert) and specialty certifications are valid for one (1) year from the date that you complete all requirements to earn that certification."

Based on the certificate name (Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Associate (Excel and Excel 2019)), I understand that it will expire in one year.

But it also says:

"Other Microsoft Certifications expiry
MOS, MTA, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE, and MCE certifications do not expire."

As far as I understand, MOS stands for Microsoft Office Specialist, so this certificate shouldn't expire.

Please help me to understand expiration rules for this particular certificate.

    Hi @Victoria ,

Microsoft Certification / Exams is currently not supported in the Q&A forums.

Maybe one of the links is helpful:

Microsoft Training & Certification is supported on their own forums:
    Microsoft Certification - Exams:
    Microsoft Certification - Certifications Renewal:
    Microsoft Certification - Validity/Renewal:
