Connect HTTPS CDN to HTTP Origin

I have a CDN endpoint set up pointing to a Container Instance. The container does not have https support. I want the CDN to give me https, but connect to the origin using http. Should be simple as other cloud providers offer this as a standard but for some reason I cannot work out how to do this on Azure?

Have you considered using Azure Application Gateway in this scenario? you can terminate the TLS at application Gateway and then forward the HTTP data to your container instance over a VNET.
