Customize Test Runner with new fields

I added fields, such as Pre Conditions. to the Summary tab of the Test Case template. How do I get these fields to show up in Test Runner? I need to see the information at the beginning of test execution. I found an archived post in the MSDN Forum, but it's dated back to 2014. At that time, the response was that there was no public API for MTM. Has there been improvements to the system that will allow for this modification? The ability to add new fields to the template is pretty much pointless if you can't use them. As a user, I should not have to find the test case on the Define tab. Edit the test case to review the Summary tab and then go to the Execute section and launch the test case.

2022-01-25T12:30:51.53+00:00 I am using Azure DevOps. On the Summary tab in the Test Case work item, we added three custom fields. When you launch the Test Runner, there's an icon that displays only the "Description" information when selected. The newly added fields do not display. I believe the "Description" field is a default field. I need the new fields to display as well, especially when it comes to the regression tests. They will contain important information that the tester will need to know before starting the test case.
