Firstly thanks for taking the time to read this post.
I am doing a simple EX2010 > O365 migration.
Mailboxes migrate w/out issue but I have noticed that I am using the default target delivery domain instead of changing to the primary SMTP address.
For example that would be XXXXXX.mail.onmicrosoft.com
All domains we are using however have been verified at the MS end. Once the migration is complete I will be pointing the MX records for the primary domain to Microsoft.
Looking at this article, seems others have asked the same issue and I believe using the default target delivery domain should be okay? Could someone kindly confirm please.

Yea the target domain simply sets the remote mailbox on the source server where to deliver mail after the mailbox is moved.
So you wouldnt set it to itself so to speak. It has to be the mail.onmicrosot.com domain

I'd read numerous article with people saying you should change to your e-mail primary domain @yourdomainnamegoeshere.com but then from the MS articles and from the question you previously answered it looks okay to leave as-is.

Hi all.
is it possible to change the TargetDeliveryDomain attribute after the batch finished? On 1 account we put it in the actual domain and not the default xxxxx.mail.onmicrosoft.com and it seems that mailflow for this account is not working anymore
