After installing Microsoft Windows 11 over a Physical machine or on VM hosted over HyperV, the operating system name in the registry is showing as "Windows 10 <SKU>"
1) Why the ProductName key is not showing the appropriate OS Name ?
2) Will it be fixed ASAP? If not, what is the reason that we are seeing older OS name ?

Since you know how to reach the regedit function and if the ProductName reflects a Windows 10 build (Enterprise, Pro, etc) , but you actually have Windows 11 instead simply highlight and double click on the words "ProductName" . You can change the value data field from Windows 10 ###" to "Windows 11 ###" . The change to the underlying binary data will update automatically with no harm to your computer.

Try run Windows Update and download and install all updates and restart your PC and see if the problem persist?
Try open start and search for feedback and open the Feedback Hub app and report this issue and share the location for the registry and these screenshots.
Thank you @Reza-Ameri . I have already installed the latest updates. Still the issue is observed. From your response, I understood that the attached screenshots were not visible for you. Correct me if I am wrong! The screenshot includes the path in the registry as well. 
Note: Here i have attached it again. If the image is not visible, try using chrome instead of IE.

This is expected behavior in Windows 11, why do you need this registry key to Show Windows 11?

I have the same problem. how do I distinguish between win 10 and win 11? which also have the same dwMajorVersion and dwMinorVersion. I have upgraded to the latest Windows 11, this problem still exist.

You can run Winver or MSInfo32 from the run line or from a cmd prompt you can run systeminfo.

I've been suspecting this for some time, apparently I'm not the only one...
Windows 11 is just Windows 10 in disguise
But hey, I guess this could be taken a couple different ways. If you have 21H2 in it's Windows 10 form and you've been on the fence about upgrading to 11, now there may not be any need to do it since LOL you've already got it, for the most part. It probably also means that all your favorite registry tricks are still going to work and it's no wonder why it was a trivial task to get the Win10 start menu back with a registry tweak. That is, until MS decided to block the tweak (starting with build 22000.65). Gee... I wonder why they did that?! Maybe because it was becoming a little too obvious that their Win11 wasn't a new OS at all?
But for people who've made the leap to 11, you can basically expect the stability and performance of Windows 10. That is, if this article is correct.
If it was me I'd just change the values even though it does nothing, they should change this though, and start making windows 11 more newish, not js reskinning windows 10
