Hi all,

I got a alert in SharePoint health analyzer, Some content databases are growing too large. when i click on the link its showing me a tool to repair automatically. What does this tool does? according to the article it does not allow adding new sites. I am able to add subsites after repairing. could someone please describe more about what this tool will do.

    Hello @prabhat tunuguntla ,

    Welcome to Q&A Forum!

As stated in the official article, this is a rule to prevent adding new sites to content databases over 100 GB and then moving some site collections to other databases.

But it's worth noting that you can no longer add new sites to databases over 100 GB.

In regards to what you said about being able to create subsites after repairing, it's because the content database doesn't exceed 100 GB at this point.

    Thanks,
    Echo Du
