Laptop log in issue

Hi, I have hp x360 laptop and out of nowhere it is asking me for password instead of set PIN. I had also set fingerprint reader to sign in to my laptop. I do not have any of two options to sign in to my laptop but password. I wonder if it is password of my microsoft id which i first used to sign in on my laptop but i never set it to log in to my PC. Please help. I do not remember the account name of my microsoft id used and so I am not able to reset the id password on another PC.

    Hello FrancisDsouza

    If your logon information was through a Microsoft ID, the only way to recover either password or PIN is by knowing the ID or account.

    If you were using a local user, the only option is if you have set your security questions during the installation of Windows, and thus being able to Reset your password from the logon screen.
