When answering a call on Teams, there is an echo because of two devices

I'm looking for some help in understanding how to adjust a setting so this doesn't continue happening.

I have Teams on my laptop and Teams on my cell phone.
When someone calls me, I will answer on one device, but there is an echo that happens because my other device is picking up my voice.

How do I prevent this echo from happening?

Is there a way to adjust a setting where once the call is answered on one device, it does not answer on the other device?

Hi @Jenny D ,

When someone calls me, I will answer on one device, but there is an echo that happens because my other device is picking up my voice.

Do you mean no matter you answer on which device, the echo issue remains?
Have you tried keeping the two devices far apart like taking your cell phone to another room and see if the error can disappear?

I tried testing on my side by logging on Teams on both PC and mobile phone, when answering a call on either of the two devices, the notification below would prompt on the other device:

After select Join, I can choose from Transfer to this device or Add this device(Teams will automatically mute the mic on your second device before it enters the meeting to prevent an echo effect. ).

So basically per my understanding either of these scenarios will pick up voices on both devices. Is it the same as what you are seeing on your side? Did you make choices on the other device?
