Office products update channels : Retail with LTSC

Hi all,

I'm facing a question about how to manage update channels with Office products which have been purchased via different ways.

I have an Office Home & Business 2021 Retail and an Office Visio Professional 2021 LTSC I want to install on the same Windows 10 workstation.
In order to achieve this, I know I have to use ODT. But with these 2 products, how should I deal with update channels within xml ?
In fact, channel for Office Home & Business 2021 Retail is "HomeBusiness2021Retail" and channel for Visio Professional 2021 LTSC is "VisioPro2021Volume", and I guess I can use 1 channel only in the xml.

How should I do ?

    Hi,
    No, you cannot. Retail version Office canot install with Volume version Office at the same PC. You can refer to this support article, as the article said "For Office 365, Microsoft 365, Office LTSC 2021, and Office 2019 products, all products installed on the computer must be using the same update channel."

    In your case, the Office Home & Business 2021 Retail update channel is Microsoft 365 Apps update channel and the three primary update channels are: Current Channel, Monthly Enterprise Channel, Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel
    The Visio Professional 2021 LTSC update channel is: “PerpetualVL2021” and this is the only update channel available.

    And a new fact which proves MSFT offers easy to understand products suite....
    Seriously, should we have a MSFT products special engineer for checking each interoperability before purchase ?
    What was possible yesterday is not anymore today...
