I am running Windows 10 21H2, with Intel CORE i5 7200U 2.7 Ghz. The website says this is an approved processor for Win11, but the app says my processor is not supported. All other Win 11 requirements are met according to the app. Which is correct?

    Hi @KQ Meloche ,

I don't know which website you are referring.
On the official website for Intel CPUs compatible with Windows 11 doesn't list the Intel Core i5-7200U: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

The Intel Core i5-7200U is a 7th generation Intel CPU, Windows 11 requires at least a 8th generation CPU.
For more details please take a look here: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/08/27/update-on-windows-11-minimum-system-requirements-and-the-pc-health-check-app/

    Hello,

Unfortunately, i5-7200U processor is not compatible for Windows 11, according to Microsoft.

Please check with official Windows 11 list of supported processors:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

You can drop a feedback to Microsoft about this, using Feedback hub app.

    Regards.

Most computers that run Windows 10 can upgrade to Windows 11 in a supported or unsupported fashion.

Computers that are upgraded in the unsupported fashion may not benefit from the improvements in performance, reliability, and security.

And computers that upgrade in the unsupported fashion may have problems with Windows and Defender updates.

If interested, links can be posted for the supported / unsupported upgrades.

These are lists of supported drivers for Windows 10 and 11 versions and builds:
