So there is a user in a company that I am starting to admin for, they currently use a windows machine with a shared domain account. I am looking to migrate this person to their own domain account. What I need to do for them is make sure all of the settings and files are on the new account. This includes everything that is on the desktop, and they want it to be in the exact same spot as the shared domain account. The user is not very tech-savvy so they can't find files or documents very easily if they are not in the exact same spot every time. So basically I need to copy over the original shared user accounts files, settings, and layout onto the user's domain account. Would really appreciate any insight into this.

I had looked at the USMT but was not sure if it would be right in my use case.
I need to just transfer from one domain account to another domain account on the same computer.
Would the USMT work in that use case?

Thanks for the insight Patrick, I read up some more on this online and I believe I could just use the copy user profile in system properties -> advanced -> user-profiles -> choose the profile -> copy to -> the new profile. I just need admin privileges for this, which I will have.
