Hyper-V on Windows 10 and connectivity issues

Hello,

I've installed Hyper-V on my Windows 10 Desktop machine and I created a Virtual Machine running Debian Bullseye. This VM is connected to the Internet through an external hyper-v switch, linked to the host nic.

I have 2 different IRC bots installed on that VM and after a few hours of uptime, any of them loses connection to the server (connection reset by peer).
Since my host is always on and connected just fine, I was thinking something might be wrong with Hyper-V, or a combination of the latter and Debian but it's the first time for me using Hyper-V so I don't really know what to look at.

Not sure if related, but since I installed Hyper-V, my host's Task Manager doesn't show any network activity in the "process" tab, it always stays at 0%.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

and after a few hours of uptime, any of them loses connection

Many consumer-grade network adapters do a poor job of hosting an external virtual switch so the hardware may be the culprit.
