Storage Spaces - One of the 2 storage spaces showing as RAW

I have 2 storage spaces configured on a Windows machine running the latest Windows 10 update (now).

I found that one of the spaces, while looking absolutely fine in the Storage Spaces manager UI, keeps getting mounted as RAW.
Both of these spaces are made up of external USB drives and are powered on as needed. I see a similar issue from 2012 where the OP had to resort to file recovery tool to recover the data.

Is there a more up to date resolution?

    Hi there,

The issue occurs because of one of the following reasons:

-The file system structure on the disk is corrupted.
-There is not enough disk space for the file system to extend.

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods from the below article.

A volume may show up as raw in disk management after you extend the partition, but chkdsk shows the file system as NTFS

Here is a thread as well that discusses the same issue and you can try out some troubleshooting steps from this and see if that helps you to sort the Issue.
