Auto-expanding archiving and ArchiveWarningQuota

Hi,

Our organization has already enabled auto-expanding archiving for entire organization. And for few users and shared mailboxes we have already assigned Exchange Online Plan 2 licenses.

Today one of those shared mailboxes archive mailbox reached 90.07 GB of 100 GB total. Theoretically the storage quota for archive mailbox should be increased to 110 GB. But this can take up to 30 days for the additional storage space to be provisioned as Microsoft has indicated in its documentation, and which is fine for us. But users that has full-access permissions to that shared mailbox said they received archive quota warning message today saying archive is almost full.

As additional storage space to be provisioned can take up to 30 days, theoretically users will receive this warning message every day from now, right? Is there any way we can disable this? I tried Set-Mailbox -ArchiveWarningQuota Unlimited but it looks like -ArchiveWarningQuota parameter is not available anymore for Exchange Online. As our organization works on Exchange Hybrid, I also tried to change value for msExchArchiveWarnQuota attribute on AD, but that doesn't work as well.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi @Tomass Pētersons ,

Based on my knowledge, the ArchiveWarningQuota parameter is available only in on-premises Exchange, and sorry for that there is no way to disable the Archive Warning Quota message in Exchange online, this is by design. For more details: -ArchiveWarningQuota

But you could create a transport rule to delete these mails. the rule looks like below:
