What's meant by transaction in Azure custom vision resource billing

In the following azure custom vision service pricing link, it's mentioned as "$2 per 1,000 transactions" in Standard plan.

Can someone please tell me what's meant by transaction here? Does it mean an API call?

    @Anonymous Yes, the transaction refers to an API call to the prediction API and you can create 100 projects in your custom vison account or per resource.
