Team call are going to voicemail when call.

Hello Teams community,

Please I have a user who is complaining that Teams calls are going to Voicemail.

Is there a way to stop or disable the team's calls from going to Voicemail?

Hi @IBN ,

To stop incoming calls going to Voicemail, the user can make the change in the Teams client using the steps below:

Click the "···" button at the upper right corner, choose Settings:

Click "Calls", change the setting of "If unanswered" to "Do nothing":

Thank you for your response.

We have tried the above steps but the calls are still forwarding to voicemail both on the Teams web and Desktop.

Anytime we call the user the calls keep going to voicemail.

Hi @IBN ,

Do you mean all the user's incoming calls are now automatically forwarded to Voicemail?

Please try signing out of Teams on all devices, both desktop and web client, then restart and sign in back to see if there would be any improvement.

Not all users just one user is affected.

According to the user, They have deleted and re-installed teams on the mobile device. But they are still having the same issue with calls going to voicemail.

They have enabled "Voicemail is available for routing inbound calls" on the teams' Admin Centre but the calls keep going to voicemail. but when they click on "Not Enabled" the calls come back with an error "Calls Cannot be completed".

We have also tried the settings on team client below but still same problem. Calls keep going to voicemail.

They have enabled "Voicemail is available for routing inbound calls" on the teams' Admin Centre but the calls keep going to voicemail.

Is this policy applied to other users as well?
Besides, I checked it in my Teams Admin Center and noticed that the default setting is "User Controlled". Have you tried switching to this option and see how it goes?
