Do we still need an SSL certificate on our domain after moving to Microsoft cloud and we are "Hybrid Azure AD joined" ?

We don't have any on premise exchange servers anymore.
Our domain controller is on premise and runs azure AD connect.
Clients show as "Hybrid Azure AD joined" in azure.

Do we still need an SSL certificate on our domain controller on premise ?
If not required for exchanged what about azure ?

Thx

If you are using Exchange Online now then no, you do not need an SSL certificate anywhere as Microsoft managed the trusted TLS (SSL) connection to Exchange Online. It also sounds like you are not using Active Directory Federation Services so you would not need an SSL certificate for Azure AD join/hybrid join either.
